Preserving Bharat's Living Heritage
Every harvest begins with a seed.
Within every native seed lies generations of agricultural wisdom, biodiversity and resilience. Adapted over
centuries to Bharat's diverse soils, climates and ecosystems, native seeds are an invaluable part of our agricultural heritage.
At Kinkri, our journey with native seeds began while exploring farming near the naturally saline landscape of Sambhar Lake. As we searched for authentic traditional varieties, we came to appreciate both their remarkable diversity and the importance of preserving them for future generations.
Today, we are dedicated to learning, cultivating and preserving a growing collection of native seeds, including vegetables, fruits, flowers, grains and spices. We also continue exploring traditional, natural methods of seed saving and preservation, guided by the timeless principles of the Vedic way of life.
Through this journey, we hope to contribute towards preserving biodiversity, supporting resilient agriculture and honouring Bharat's rich agricultural heritage—one seed at a time.
